Chinese Valentine's Day, also known as Qixi Festival, is celebrated on the 7th day of the 7th month of the Chinese lunar calendar. It celebrates the annual meeting of Zhinü and Niulang in Chinese mythology.
The festival has been celebrated since the Han Dynasty. In the evening, young women sat around the table, displaying their needlework and offerings (e.g. tea, wine, fruits, red dates, hazelnuts, peanuts etc.), praying for a good husband and a happy marriage life.
Similar to the traditional customs, Mechanist gave succulents gift boxes for everyone, which represents its sincere wish and love to all.
Besides the succulents gift boxes, Mechanist prepared a variety of gifts. There were cookies, lollipops, mouthwash and sweet drinks.
Is "love" a universal language?
You might wonder how to say “I Love You” in different languages.
Chinese - 我爱你
English — I love you
Russian - Я люблю вас
German - Ich liebe dich
Turkish - Seni seviyorum
It requires courage and encouragement when you are approaching a person you are interested in. Mechanist encouraged everyone to express their true feelings. Don’t worry about making the first move.
Mechanist gave an opportunity to everyone to sell their previously owned and worn items, such as used goods, collectibles, and clothing.
We always associate memories with objects. By selling and buying the items in the flea market (or swap meet), you exchanged memory with another person.
Our lovely Lemonade joined us for the Chinese Valentine's Day celebration. Singles could spend 7.7yuan to play and take pictures with Lemonade. Money would be donated to Service Center for stray dogs. (Free for couples!)
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
